With an extra day of leisure coming up, I know that a lot of us are already planning what to do with the bank holiday weekend. I’m 99% sure that I will be found stuffing my face at my new favourite haunt, Dinerama, in London’s Shoreditch.
Similar to Pop Brixton which I wrote about a while back, this place is packed with a whole host of global eateries serving gourmet street food (yes, that is very much a thing now) all under one roof. I say roof because where Dinerama pips Pop Brixton to the post is that it’s covered over, meaning the unpredictable British weather need have no bearing on your bank holiday weekend plans.
A haven for food lovers in London, Dinerama opens 5pm-late Thurs-Sat and offers a plethora of delicious cuisines all in one spot. Love seafood? They’ve got tonnes of the stuff. Are you a devil for dim sum? They have dumplings for days. A sucker for a simple oven-fired pizza? No problemo. You get the gist. Throw in a few fully-stocked bars, some cool decor and a super lively atmosphere and it’s a great way to welcome the weekend in London if you’re at a loss for what to do.

I personally like to hang out upstairs in the Zephyr lounge, a 1950s style cocktail bar that has a sort of airport lounge feel with its elevated views. Breathtaking? No, but I find that that really kind of adds to the charm of this little bubble amongst the London rubble. Yes it may be raining, yes you may have to go back to work on Tuesday but for a few hours you can sample sumptuous food from around the world, sip on champagne from a boujee retro glass and just enjoy the company of the people you’re with. No stress, no drama, just good drinks, great friends and fantastic food.
Do you know of any cool hangouts in your local area that we should check out? If so please do let us know in the comments below!
